Goodbye, Natasha Richardson!

I was shocked about the death of British actress, Natasha Richardson, earlier when the news came out in my television and Internet. Also, she’s the wife of actor Liam Neeson. She was injured from skiing accident that lead to her death. Earlier at 7:00pm EDT, Liam Neeson’s publicist Alan Nierob made a statement to the press and said, “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Natasha Richardson was born in London, England on May 11, 1963. Her parents are late Tony Richardson (director/producer) and Vanessa Redgrave (also an actress). She started to appear in a movie entiled “The Charge of the Light Brigade” since 1968. After 18 years of absence in movie industry, she came back to appear in a movie “Gothic”. One of her significant movie called “Nell”  where Richardson starred alongside with Liam Neeson (as his future husband in real life) and Jodie Foster. Aside her acting career in movie and theatre, she’s active in advocacy for fighting against AIDS after the death of her father, Tony Richardson suffered from AIDS in 1991. From 1983 to 2005, she also participates in theatre. Natasha’s significant achievement was Best Actress in a Musical at Tony Awards for the production of “Cabaret” in 1998.

For me, it’s a big loss for her in entertainment industry. I pray for Natasha’s soul for what happend earlier. Condolence to Liam Neeson and his two sons.

The Great Chance for Kate Winslet

11 years ago, Kate Winslet was nominated for Oscar’s best actress as the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater in Titanic. However, she lost and the award was at the hands of Helen Hunt. All of the staff and crew of Titanic, including James Cameron (as director) dominated in Oscars and other award-winning bodies. Winslet made her fame in Titanic and the fans loved her worldwide.

A 33-year-old English actress continued to improve her acting career. Her parents had their acting career in Reading, England. Kate followed the footstep of her parents. After the extreme huge success of Titanic, she continued to receive some dramatic movie projects such as Holy Smoke, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and others.

This year, she made another chance at annual festive of awarding bodies such as Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, Golden Globe Awards, British Academy Award, and Academy Awards. Winslet grabbed 2 awards, for the first time,  for 2009 Golden Globe Best Actress for “Revolutionary Road” and Best Supporting Actress for “The Reader”. After 5 nominations at Oscar’s, the highest and most recognized awarding body in the world in terms of entertainment, she finally got the Best Actress award, also for the first time, for a movie “The Reader”. Kate was happy for her greatest achievement that she got.

Kristen Stewart (knowing the update)

According to kristenstewart.net as of January 7, 2009, Kristen Stewart was nominated for “talented young people of the month” at talentedyoungpeople.com. The other four nominees are: Joel Defries – Presenter on Blue Peter; Eliza Hope Bennett – Actress and star of the film Inkheart; Robert Pattinson – Actor and star of the film Twilight; and Alexandra Burke – Winner of the X-Factor 2008.

The criteria of the mentioned website is based on their talents that they excel in a movie or television. It was based by the voters who would prevail for that category. The result of that voting was Robert Pattinson (who portrayed as Edward Cullen of Twilight) dominated in that category. Kristen (also from Twilight and she portrayed as Bella Swan) fell second place.

Possibly there’s a second Twilight movie called “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Maybe Edward Cullen and Bella Swan are going back to action. Also, there’s a new production may set for Kristen. It’s called “K-11″. Let’s wait when they release in theaters and we’re excited about a new Twilight movie.

Kristen Stewart became famous when she appeared in Twilight movie. But before that, Kristen appeared in a movie entitled “The Safety of Objects” in 2001 where she portrayed as Sam Jennings. The following year, Kristen accepted the role of Sarah Altman in a thriller movie “Panic Room” where Jodie Foster lead the role. When “Panic Room” became a successful movie, Kristen was quickly hired to do a movie along with Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone. It’s so called “Cold Creek Manor”. She rarely receives some projects until her fame in Twilight movie.
